$3 million in Playing Australia funding for 18 performing arts companies to tour regional areas

Round 35 Playing Australia recipients include:

Country Arts WA, Deckchair Theatre’s play Krakouer, 43 performances at 22 venues in QLD, NSW, VIC, TAS and SA..

Queensland Arts Council, Statespeare by Shake and Stir Theatre Company, 45 performances at 16 venues in Qld, NSW, Vic and SA

Country Arts SA, The Happiest Show On Earth by Patch Theatre Company, 77 performances at 21 venues in Voc, Tas, NSW, Qld and NT

Regional Arts Victoria: Boats by Terrapin Puppet Theatre, 65 performances at 17 venues in NSW, Vic, Qld, Nt and Tas; My Grandma Lived in Gooligulch by Gooligulch, 137 performances at 38 venues in Vic, WA, SA, NT, Qld, NSW and Tas; A Commercial Farce by Malthouse Theatre, 63 performances at 14 venues in Tas, Vic, NSW, Qld and the ACT

Playing Australia is the Australian Government’s national performing arts touring program. It has funded performing arts tours since 1992 and has strongly contributed to maintaining a vibrant Australian performing arts sector
